Endless, unceasing, infinite you are.
You will strangle me with all of your hands.
Slowly, carefully, you withdraw my sands.
They fall, grain by grain, like downpouring rain.
Faster, spinning, you watch me dance in vain,
never stopping as you gaze over me.
I’m aware. From you I’ll never be free
until the day that you kill me at last.
Memories gone, many moments long past.
Countless blessings wasted, gone by so fast.
I try to look away, but I’m harassed
by your vast shadow, lurking from afar.
